Coffee with Friends

Do you like coffee? If so, this card is for you! Today’s card is one that I made with the new STAMPtember release from Simon Says Stamp, DRINK COFFEE stamp set. As soon as I saw it, I had to have it. I have so many friends who drink coffee, and I had a million card ideas with this stamp set. Let’s get started!

Supplies for this card from SSS, GKD, Altenew, Ranger & Michaels

This card is really simple to make. It features a sentiment from the newly released DRINK COFFEE stamp set, heat embossed with DARK CHOCOLATE EMBOSSING POWDER from Gina K. Designs, on cream colored cardstock from Michaels. Using the COFFEE RING stamp set from Altenew, fun accents were added to the front of the card and the envelope in VINTAGE PHOTO & WALNUT STAIN Distress Oxide inks. The panel was cut out with the MASTER LAYOUTS 2 dies from GKD, matted on chocolate colored Recollections cardstock.

I used the coffee cup and spoon stamps from the SSS CUP OF LOVE stamp & die set. I stamped the images on white cardstock, then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. For the coffee cup, I stamped the coffee image in the same Distress Oxide ink colors as the coffee rings on the front panel. I then cut the cup from the saucer and popped it up to give it some dimension. The coffee gets a little enhancement with GLOSSY ACCENTS. The spoon is adhered to the lower right corner of the panel.

The background is dark chocolate cardstock from Michaels, die cut with the SWIRLS PIERCE & CUT PLATE from Taylored Expressions. TEA DYE, VINTAGE PHOTO, and GROUND ESPRESSO Distress Oxide inks are blended from the center to the outer edge of the panel. The panel was then adhered to the cream colored card base, and then finished off with a spray of gold shimmer and ESPRESSO jewels from Pinkfresh Studio.

The finished card

I had so much fun making this card! I hope you will give it a try. Tell me in the comments what you would do differently.

Happy crafting!
